The commitment and dedication of the club's volunteers ensures growth and ongoing success of Eastern States Speedway. Some volunteers are former drivers; whose passion for speedway still burns brightly long after they've driven their final race. Others are speedway novices; not yet having raced, but ready to jump in and help whenever needed.

Benefits from joining Eastern States Speedway include reduced admission to all Blenheim and Nelson race meetings, access to Eastern States' clubrooms; but by far the greatest benefit of joining Eastern States Speedway is becoming part of our exhilarating and addictive sport.
Eastern States has three levels of membership:
Full Membership - Drivers must have Full Membership to allow them to obtain an SNZ license; and entitles them to full voting and speaking rights at all meetings.
Social Membership - Social Membership - Designed for pit crew and supporters. Social members have full voting and speaking rights at all meetings.
Volunteer Membership - Due to the need for all people in the pit area to be members; a token membership was introduced for volunteers. Volunteer Members have no speaking or voting rights.
To join Eastern States, download a membership application form, fill it out and return it to the club
Once we receive you completed membership application form; your application will go before our committee to be confirmed. This can take up to a month.
All new members will be on standard one-year probation unless the committee decides on a longer term on an individual case by case basis.
You will not be able to obtain your Speedway New Zealand licence without your club membership.
After approximately 60 percent of the race season has passed; new members may join for a lesser fee as determined by the Eastern States committee.

The Social Side of Speedway
Eastern States' clubrooms are licensed and offer a full range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments. We hold a liquor on-licence and therefore you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the clubrooms. You'll find our bar prices are comparable to public bar prices. A full range of food will be available at the clubrooms following race meetings.
